Quiz! Can you name the 29 Football League teams founded after 1900?
These are the babies – the irrepressible young upstarts, if you will – of Egland’s proud league system
Last week, we set you the momentous challenge of naming the 40 oldest clubs in the Football League.
Dear reader, you rose to the challenge valiantly.
But that only took us as far as 1886 – a time when Arthur Conan Doyle was still banging out Sherlock Holmes stories and Blackburn Rovers were winning FA Cups for fun.
We didn’t want to leave out the fresh-faced Football League sides still finding their way in the world. So this quiz is for the cherubic young clubs only founded in the last 119 years.
A grand total of 29 teams currently in the top four divisions have come into this world since 1900 – and we’re giving you eight minutes to name them all. You get the year they were founded and the league they play in now, but the rest is up to you.
Once you’re done, send your score to @FourFourTwo on Twitter and tag a friend to do better.
A note: some of these teams succeeded other clubs with the same name, or were formed as part of mergers from pre-existing clubs.
