Finals can go one of two ways, by and large.

There's the style of the last two World Cup finals. Lots of goals, lots of incident, as the game flies from one end to another and teams throw caution to the wind. 

Or… there's the other kind of final. The FA Cup and League Cup finals last year, for example, that saw no goals over four hours of football, with both being decided on penalties. 

We've listed a load of major finals stretching back to the 2018 World Cup in Russia. Obviously, own goals and shootouts aren't included…
