THEN TRY Quiz! Can you match the England shirt to the description?

Once upon a time, all footballs used to be orangey brown… and very, very heavy.

Then came Adidas in 1970 with a brand new kind of ball. It was black and white, looked like a satellite and it was an incredible design innovation. Kids would soon draw a football on this design.

It didn't stop there. Over the years, the German manufacturer would re-invent the very sphere used at the World Cup, creating bespoke balls for every tournament to reflect the competition and its new host every time. Everyone remembers their first.

But can you remember what the ball from your first World Cup was called?
