The list of players who have played at four separate World Cups is an elite club.
You have to have a decent level of longevity, for sure. These tournaments only come around every four years, so to play four of them, you have to be good enough to represent your nation for 16 years.
Not many footballers can manage to keep up the same level from the age of 18 to 34, for example. Consider too that few nations can have a lasting influence over four tournaments and you're starting to realise why only one player has won the trophy three times.
We've listed 100 players of varying levels of stickability. Did they play four tournaments or more? Only 40 tick that box.
