Italian players, by and large, tend to stay in Italy.

There are competing theories as to why this may be – the unique Serie A style favours their game, the tax laws, the draw of proper, authentic mozzarella is too hard to leave – but in Serie A, you'll find players with hundreds upon hundreds of appearances. 

And these players move between clubs a lot more freely than in English football. No, seriously – look at how many players go from one Milan club to another, to Juventus, to Napoli, to wherever… imagine so many players moving between the Big Six in England.

This should be a nice trip down memory lane. By the way, we've capped the appearance limit at 1990, just to evoke more memories of James Richardson, Nessun Dorma and VHS compilations.
