Giggs spends another day with nose pressed against Old Trafford window
Former star begging for forgiveness despite not knowing what he did wrong, Back of the Net report
Ryan Giggs has spent yet another day with his tear-streaked face pressed hard against a window at Old Trafford.
Giggs, who left the Red Devils last Saturday after a 26-year association with the club, pushed his face against the glass and peered inside with pleading eyes, whimpering pitifully while embarrassed Manchester United staff pretended not to notice him.
About halfway through the day, witnesses report the still-crying Giggs moved to the window of Jose Mourinho’s office, making the Portuguese tactician uncomfortable and causing him to pull the blinds down.
Taking it badly
According to club sources, after seven hours of mournful staring Giggs returned to the Carrington car park in which he is now sleeping, in preparation for returning the next day.

An acquaintance of Giggs told FourFourTwo: “Man[chester] U[nited] is all Giggsy has ever known. He has a house in Cheshire but I don’t think he’s ever actually been there. He’s just sleeping in his United-branded sleeping bag, in his United-branded camper van, eating cereal from a United-branded cereal bowl and weeping.
“Occasionally he’ll ask passing strangers if they’ve seen Sir Alex [Ferguson], but otherwise he’s just gazing longingly into the only home he's ever truly known, now lost to him forever. His snot's all over the windowpanes.”
Jose's way
A spokesman for the club said: “It’s terrible to see Ryan suffer like this, but it's the only way he'll truly grow up and discover his true path in life, which is probably something like taking over Middlesborough mid-season and leading them from 18th in February to 19th in May.
“On the other hand, sometimes I agree with Mourinho that the kindest thing would have been to kill him and display his head on a pole as a warning to others.”
