Hungary v Portugal live stream: How to watch Euro 2020 wherever you are in the world
Watch a Hungary v Portugal live stream, as the Euro 2020 action continues apace
Hungary v Portugal live stream, ITV, Tuesday 15 June, 5pm BST
Portugal will begin the defence of their European Championship crown when they face Hungary on Tuesday.
Fernando Santos’ side triumphed at Euro 2016, despite only winning one game in regulation time throughout the entire tournament. They may have gone home with the trophy five years ago, but there is little doubt that the Portugal squad that will participate this summer is stronger than its European Championship predecessor. That is the reason why, despite being drawn in a tough group, Portugal will fancy their chances of becoming only the second side to win back-to-back European Championships, after neighbours Spain in 2008 and 2012.
Cristiano Ronaldo might be 36 years old, but his goalscoring has showed few signs of slowing down. A support cast of Bernardo Silva, Bruno Fernandes and Diogo Jota is up there with the best any other team has to offer; Andre Silva, who scored 29 goals for Eintracht Frankfurt last term, is not a bad alternative up front should Ronaldo need a rest.
There are some concerns at the back, but those are unlikely to be exploited by Hungary. Joao Cancelo and Raphael Guerreiro are attack-minded full-backs who are much better in attack than defence, while Pepe - as fine a penalty-box defender as he remains - could be exposed in a high defensive line.
Being drawn in the group of death meant Hungary had been dealt some rotten luck even before star player Dominik Szoboszlai was ruled out of Euro 2020 through injury. That is a major blow to the Magyars, but Hungary did spring a surprise by topping their group at the last Euros.
They should not be written off entirely, particularly as three sides from this section could advance to the last 16, but Marco Rossi’s side have their work cut out.
Containing Portugal and then hitting them on the counter-attack will be the aim here, even without Szoboszlai’s speed in transition. Adam Nagy at the base of midfield will be crucial to Hungary’s chances of getting a foothold in the game, but Portugal are strong favourites.
You can tell that simply by looking at their respective benches: Portugal have Joao Moutinho, Joao Felix and Renato Sanches to rely on to come on and change the game if things aren't going their way.
Included in the starting line-up for Portugal is Rúben Dias, Pepe, Danilo, Bruno Fernandes, Bernardo Silva, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Diogo Jota – it's a pretty intimidating side.
Kick-off is at 5pm BST and the game is being shown on ITV/ITV Hub. See below for watching details where you are.

Use a VPN to watch a Hungary v Portugal live stream from outside your country
If you’re out of the country for any Euro 2020 fixtures, then annoyingly your domestic on-demand services won’t work – the broadcaster knows where you are because of your IP address (boo!). You'll be blocked from watching it, which is not ideal if you still want to catch Harry Kane's in-swinging corners without resorting to illegal feeds you’ve found on Reddit.
But assistance is on hand. To get around that, all you have to do is get a Virtual Private Network (VPN), assuming it complies with your broadcaster’s T&Cs. A VPN creates a private connection between your device and t'internet, meaning the service can’t work out where you are and won't automatically block the service you've paid for. All the info going between is entirely encrypted – and that's a result.
There are plenty of good-value options out there, including:
ExpressVPN including a 30-day, money-back guarantee
FourFourTwo’s brainy office mates TechRadar love its super speedy connections, trustworthy security and the fact it works with Android, Apple, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, PS4 and loads more. You also get a money-back guarantee, 24/7 support and it's currently available for a knockdown price. Go get it!
NordVPN with quality mobile and desktop apps
A cheaper option and almost ExpressVPN's equal when it comes to quality, too. A single subscription covers six connections, so you can use it on mobile, laptop, streaming devices and more, all at the same time.
Surfshark offers a great VPN at a fraction of the price
It's clear to see why Surfshark is top of TechRadar's best cheap VPN table – it combines an excellent product with bargain pricing, starting at £2/$2.50 a month!
