Two teams struggling for form go head-to-head at Anfield as Liverpool host Leeds on Saturday night.
Liverpool enter this encounter having booked their place in the Champions League knockout rounds with a comfortable 3-0 win at Ajax on Wednesday – but Jurgen Klopp's side fared altogether less well last time out in the league, going down 1-0 away to Nottingham Forest. That was the Reds' third defeat of a stuttering campaign, but they should be optimistic as they return to home action: they've lost just once at Anfield in any competition since March 2021.
Klopp and co. also couldn't have asked for kinder opposition: Leeds travel to Merseyside rock-bottom of the Premier League form table (and second-bottom of the regular table). The Whites have lost four on the spin and have gone over two months without a win. Head coach Jesse Marsch still has the board's backing for now, but his side must produce a positive reaction after throwing away the lead to lose 3-2 at home to Fulham last weekend.
Team news
Liverpool are without the injured Arthur, Luis Diaz, Diogo Jota and Joel Matip, while Jordan Henderson is only on the bench after picking up a knock in midweek. Thiago is back from an ear in infection and starts for Klopp's side at Anfield.
Leeds manager Jesse Marsch makes three changes, with Tyler Adams, Rasmus Kristensen and Crysencio Summerville replacing Luke Ayling, Sam Greenwood and Luis Sinisterra. Striker Rodrigo had been doubtful, but starts against Liverpool. Stuart Dallas and Adam Forshaw remain sidelined.

VPN guide
Use a VPN to watch Premier League football from outside your country
If you’re out of the country for a round of Premier League fixtures, then annoyingly your domestic on-demand services won’t work – the broadcaster knows where you are because of your IP address (boo!). You'll be blocked from watching it, which is not ideal if you’ve paid up for a subscription and still want to catch the action without resorting to illegal feeds you’ve found on Reddit.
But assistance is on hand. To get around that, all you have to do is get a Virtual Private Network (VPN), assuming it complies with your broadcaster’s T&Cs. A VPN creates a private connection between your device and t'internet, meaning the service can’t work out where you are and won't automatically block the service you've paid for. All the info going between is entirely encrypted – and that's a result.
There are plenty of good-value options out there, and FourFourTwo currently recommends:
ExpressVPN including a 30-day, money-back guarantee
