Real Madrid, the most decorated side in Champions League history, stand between Manchester City and a second consecutive final when the two sides clash in the semi-final first leg at the Etihad on Tuesday.
Pep Guardiola has built a juggernaut of a team in recent years, but European success continues to elude the Citizens, who were beaten by Chelsea in last year’s final.

Real Madrid’s campaign so far has been a thrilling watch, with Karim Benzema’s exceptional form firing them into the final four.
In the quarter-finals, the French striker scored a hat-trick at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea to give his side a 3-1 lead heading into the second leg.
A spirited comeback from the Premier League side put them on the verge of victory at the Bernabeu, before an exquisite Luka Modric pass set up a Rodrygo strike that took the tie to extra time.
Another goal from - you guessed it - Benzema proved enough to send Carlo Ancelotti’s side through and knock out the reigning champions.
That came after another Benzema treble inspired a 3-1 win over PSG in the last 16, as those goals turned the tie on its head in the final 30 minutes of the second leg.
Ancelotti’s men topped their group ahead of Inter Milan, Sheriff Tiraspol and Shakhtar Donetsk after recovering from a stunning defeat at home to the Moldovan debutants back in September.
Both sides sit top of their domestic leagues, with City one point ahead of Liverpool in the Premier League and Real Madrid leading Barcelona by 15 points in La Liga.
