Manchester City vs Brighton & Hove Albion live stream and match preview

Looking for a Manchester City vs Brighton & Hove Albion live stream? We've got you covered.

Pep Guardiola's side were not in action in midweek after their scheduled meeting with Arsenal was postponed so that the Gunners could fulfil their Europa League commitments. City have therefore had plenty of time to work on the training pitch following their 1-0 loss to Liverpool last time out.

Guardiola was critical of key refereeing decisions in that game, but he will also have been concerned with how City lost control of the match in the second half. Still, the Premier League champions are in a strong position after 10 games and they remain the strong favourites to win the title, despite the fact that Arsenal have a four-point lead at the summit of the standings going into the weekend.

Brighton have now gone four games without a win in the Premier League. Robert De Zerbi's side were held to a goalless draw by Nottingham Forest in the midweek round of fixtures, as some profligate finishing and dogged Forest defending denied Albion all three points.

That was the third match in a row in which Brighton failed to find the back of the net. That will be slightly concerning for the club's new manager Roberto De Zerbi, who is still waiting for his first win in English football. Brighton have lost every previous visit to the Etihad Stadium, so they are very much in the underdogs in this one.

Manchester City will have to make do without England trio John Stones, Kyle Walker and Kalvin Phillips for the visit of Brighton. Jack Grealish returns to the starting XI after dropping to the bench for the defeat at Anfield.

Bernardo Silva and Riyad Mahrez also start in an exciting line-up, with Erling Haaland up front for the champions.

Brighton are unable to call upon the services of Kaoru Mitoma, Jakub Moder and Levi Colwill.

Danny Welbeck leads the line in an unchanged XI for the Seagulls, who are still seeking a first win under De Zerbi.

VPN guide

Use a VPN to watch Premier League football from outside your country

If you’re out of the country for a round of Premier League fixtures, then annoyingly your domestic on-demand services won’t work – the broadcaster knows where you are because of your IP address (boo!). You'll be blocked from watching it, which is not ideal if you’ve paid up for a subscription and still want to catch the action without resorting to illegal feeds you’ve found on Reddit.

But assistance is on hand. To get around that, all you have to do is get a Virtual Private Network (VPN), assuming it complies with your broadcaster’s T&Cs. A VPN creates a private connection between your device and t'internet, meaning the service can’t work out where you are and won't automatically block the service you've paid for. All the info going between is entirely encrypted – and that's a result.

There are plenty of good-value options out there, and FourFourTwo currently recommends:

ExpressVPN

ExpressVPN including a 30-day, money-back guarantee

FourFourTwo’s brainy office mates TechRadar love its super speedy connections, trustworthy security and the fact it works with Android, Apple, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, PS5 and loads more. You also get a money-back guarantee, 24/7 support and it's currently available for a knockdown price. Go get it!
