Watch a Manchester United v Liverpool live stream as the Premier League action continues
Manchester United v Liverpool live stream, Monday August 22, 8.00pm
Looking for a Manchester United v Liverpool live stream? You're in the right place.
All eyes will be on Old Trafford on Monday night as crisis-struck Manchester United look to turn around their dreadful form against fierce rivals Liverpool, who are yet to win this season.
Erik ten Hag’s start to life as United boss has been disastrous; back-to-back defeats sent them to the bottom of the Premier League table after week two.
The Red Devils were beaten 2-1 by Brighton at home on the opening day, before being dismantled in humiliating fashion by Brentford last time out.
The Bees ran out 4-0 winners at the Brentford Community Stadium, scoring all their goals by the 35th minute in a galling evening for United supporters.
There is little hope of an imminent turnaround against the Reds, but Jurgen Klopp’s side have got off to a slow start of their own this season.
The German would’ve hoped for more than back-to-back draws from their opening two games against Fulham and Crystal Palace.
Liverpool went behind to a Wilfried Zaha goal at Selhurst Park last Monday, before blockbuster summer signing Darwin Nunez was sent off in the second half for a headbutt.
Luis Diaz rescued a point for the Reds, and they will be determined to get their first victory of the campaign – and deepen their rivals’ misery – at Old Trafford.
Their meetings last season both resulted in embarrassment for the Manchester club, with Liverpool winning 5-0 at Old Trafford and 4-0 at Anfield.
However, their last meeting was a friendly match in pre-season in July, which United surprisingly won 4-0.
Kick-off is at 8.00pm BST on Monday August 22 and it's on Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League. See below for international broadcast options.

VPN guide
Use a VPN to watch Premier League football from outside your country
If you’re out of the country for a round of Premier League fixtures, then annoyingly your domestic on-demand services won’t work – the broadcaster knows where you are because of your IP address (boo!). You'll be blocked from watching it, which is not ideal if you’ve paid up for a subscription and still want to catch the action without resorting to illegal feeds you’ve found on Reddit.
But assistance is on hand. To get around that, all you have to do is get a Virtual Private Network (VPN), assuming it complies with your broadcaster’s T&Cs. A VPN creates a private connection between your device and t'internet, meaning the service can’t work out where you are and won't automatically block the service you've paid for. All the info going between is entirely encrypted – and that's a result.
There are plenty of good-value options out there, including:
ExpressVPN including a 30-day, money-back guarantee
FourFourTwo’s brainy office mates TechRadar love its super speedy connections, trustworthy security and the fact it works with Android, Apple, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, PS4 and loads more. You also get a money-back guarantee, 24/7 support and it's currently available for a knockdown price. Go get it!
NordVPN with quality mobile and desktop apps
A cheaper option and almost ExpressVPN's equal when it comes to quality, too. A single subscription covers six connections, so you can use it on mobile, laptop, streaming devices and more, all at the same time.
Surfshark offers a great VPN at a fraction of the price
It's clear to see why Surfshark is top of TechRadar's best cheap VPN table – it combines an excellent product with bargain pricing, starting at £2/$2.50 a month!
