Looking for a Manchester United vs Aston Villa live stream? We've got you covered.

Unai Emery got his Aston Villa tenure off to the perfect start at the weekend, as his new team ran out 3-1 winners over Manchester United in the Premier League.

It was an excellent performance from Villa, who stormed into a 2-0 lead after just 11 minutes. The home team were superior in every department, reviving hopes that they could mount a challenge for the European qualification spots this term.

United turned in a disappointing display but they remain within touching distance of the top four. Their attention will now turn to the Carabao Cup, a competition they have won five times in total.

United have not lifted a trophy of any kind since 2017. Ending that drought will be one of Erik ten Hag's main aims in his debut campaign at Old Trafford.

With one round of Premier League fixtures remaining before the break for the World Cup, we will no doubt see both managers rotate their teams this weekend. Bruno Fernandes is available again after suspension but may begin the game on the bench, while Antony is an injury doubt.

Ten Hag will also have to make do without Brandon Williams, Axel Tuanzebe and Raphael Varane, while Jadon Sancho is still recovering from illness and might not be ready to start. Donny van de Beek, Scott McTominay, Anthony Elanga and Anthony Martial are among those who could be included in the XI.

Aston Villa will be unable to call upon the services of Diego Carlos and Philippe Coutinho, as they seek a second victory over United in the space of a few days.

This is United's first Carabao Cup game of the season, as teams involved in European competition were given a bye early on. Villa, who have won this competition five times in total, beat Bolton Wanderers 4-1 in the second round.

VPN guide

Use a VPN to watch Carabao Cup football from outside your country

If you’re out of the country for a round of Carabao Cup action, then annoyingly your domestic on-demand services won’t work – the broadcaster knows where you are because of your IP address (boo!). You'll be blocked from watching it, which is not ideal if you’ve paid up for a subscription and still want to catch the action without resorting to illegal feeds you’ve found on Reddit.

But assistance is on hand. To get around that, all you have to do is get a Virtual Private Network (VPN), assuming it complies with your broadcaster’s T&Cs. A VPN creates a private connection between your device and t'internet, meaning the service can’t work out where you are and won't automatically block the service you've paid for. All the info going between is entirely encrypted – and that's a result.

There are plenty of good-value options out there, and FourFourTwo currently recommends:
