Quiz! Can you name the 50 players with the most Manchester United appearances under Alex Ferguson?

Ferguson Keane

Roy Keane has revisited a 15-year-old feud with former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson, claiming he could never “forgive” the Scot for what he did.

A quick recap, for those who have forgotten exactly what Ferguson did: he sold Keane, after the then-United captain had criticised some younger team-mates on the club’s own TV channel, in an interview that was never aired (for obvious reasons).

The hard-done-by and famously level-headed Keane, who won 17 trophies at Old Trafford under Ferguson, told Off The Ball: "I didn't leave the office that day thinking this was the end of my career at Manchester United, but if you think I'm going to sit there, I don't care if its Alex Ferguson or the Pope ... I'm going to fight my corner.

"Ferguson came out afterwards and said he always did what was best by Manchester United. Nonsense."

Why Keane sees himself getting into a dispute with the Pope is unclear, but eminently believable.

In any case, it got us thinking about the biggest Manchester United servants of the Ferguson era. We’ve got the 50 players who made most appearances for the Reds during Fergie’s reign. You’ve got nine minutes to name as many as you can – once you’re timed out, send us your score at @FourFourTwo and challenge a mate to do better.
