Being a manager at international level certainly takes a different skillset to doing the job for a club.
You don't get to work with the players every day – you have windows throughout the year in which to meet up with these guys and get them all singing from your hymn sheet. If some teams at last year's tournament look a little like a collection of individuals… well, there's a reason for that.
On the other hand, some international managers can really get performances out of their players that few thought possible. Terry Venables, for example, managed to completely outwit Guus Hiddink at Euro 96 – arguably with less talented players.
There was plenty of talent among the coaches at last summer's tournament. But do you know who managed each side?
