Well, that was some weekend. The first round of Premier League fixtures brought in a comfortable 27 goals, exposing some defenders as still on their metaphorical sunbeds.

But we're only interested in nine per cent of those goals: Raheem Sterling's hat-trick against West Ham.

It got us looking back over the last 50 players to bag three goals in the top flight – a list that takes us all the way back to March 2012.

Each player’s latest Prem hat-trick is below, alongside their national team as a bonus clue.
