That’s right: the Premier League transfer window opened.
For the next three months, the bi-annual free-for-all is on. Hearts broken, hopes raised, record fees broken, and agents jubilant. And it means that when the new season starts, there will be tons of new players ready to impress.
But who have been this season’s brightest new stars? We’ve put together a list of every Premier League club's most-used new player this season.
The rule is simple: they can’t have made a senior appearance for their team before the 2018/19 season in any competition. It doesn’t matter whether they were a free transfer, a record signing or simply promoted from the academy. They just have to be new.
There’s just five minutes on the clock, and because a couple of teams have had more than one dependable new player, there are 23 to get.
