Quiz! Can you name the top five appearance-makers for every current Premier League club?

David Silva celebrates

Alan Oakes, in case you’re interested. He’s Manchester City’s all-time appearance king with 561 league games (he actually played a whopping 776 league games, across various clubs).

However, the 76-year-old isn’t turning out regularly for Pep Guardiola’s team. For now, anyway – we can only imagine Pep would love Oakes’s engine – and he isn’t in this quiz as we’re focusing on the post-1992, Premier League era appearance leaders for each current top-flight club.

A City midfielder took top spot for his club in that regard this month. He should be very gettable, but – among the legends who’ve played 500+ games for Liverpool and Manchester United – there are definitely some trickier answers.

You have 20 minutes to name as many as you can, based on each player’s Premier League game total (when total appearances are level, higher number of starts is the tiebreaker). Let us know your score @FourFourTwo – and please challenge some pals while you’re at it. Good luck!
