Rangers have work to do if they are to qualify for the semi-finals of the Europa League at the expense of Braga.

The Portuguese side hold a 1-0 lead going into the second leg at Ibrox. Abel Ruiz's strike three minutes into the second half was the difference between the two sides at the Estadio Municipal de Braga, as Giovanni van Bronckhorst's team failed to rise to the occasion.

Rangers did not have a single shot on target in Portugal. That is not to say they did not have chances, but a lack of decisiveness and some poor decision-making in the final third proved costly. Rangers had marginally more of the ball than their hosts, but they did not do enough to turn possession into meaningful opportunities.

Yet a one-goal deficit means this tie is far from over, particularly as the second leg will take place in Glasgow. Performing in such an intense atmosphere will be a test for Braga, who are only fourth in the Primeira Liga and have lost seven of their last 15 away games in all competitions.

At the same time, it is fair to say Rangers have not been firing on all cylinders of late. They did thrash St Mirren 4-0 at the weekend, but their recent 2-1 defeat by Celtic has handed their Old Firm rivals the initiative in the Scottish Premiership: with just five rounds of fixtures remaining, the Hoops are six points clear of the defending champions.

Rangers fans would perhaps accept failing to win the title if they were to make it to the Europa League final. There is clearly work to do on Thursday, but having already knocked out Borussia Dortmund and Red Star Belgrade, Rangers will feel they have it in them to come from a goal down against Braga. Everything is still to play for in this one.

Kick-off is at 8pm GMT and the game is being shown live on BT Sport 2  in the UK.

Use a VPN to watch a Rangers v Braga live stream from outside your country

If you’re on holiday or just simply out of the country, your domestic on-demand services won’t work – the broadcaster knows exactly where you are from your IP address. Your access to the game will be automatically blocked, which is annoying if you’ve paid a subscription fee and don't want to use an illegal stream that decides to buffer at the worst possible moment. And that's where we recommend ExpressVPN (more on which below).

All you need to do is get a Virtual Private Network (VPN) to get beyond such aggravations (assuming it complies with your broadcaster’s T&Cs). A VPN creates a private connection between your device and the internet, meaning suppliers can’t work out where you are and what you’re doing. The info going to and from is entirely encrypted.

There are plenty of options out there, including:

ExpressVPN

ExpressVPN including a 30-day, money-back guarantee

A cheaper option and almost ExpressVPN's equal when it comes to quality, too. A single subscription covers six connections, so you can use it on mobile, laptop, streaming devices and more, all at the same time.
