Ranked! Every football kit at the 2022 World Cup
We've gone through every 2022 World Cup football kit and ranked them from the bad to the beautiful
50. Iran home
The Iran home shirt is exactly the same as the away. If you loved the away shirt, this is great news. Unfortunately, however, we didn't. Sorry, lads.
49. Australia away
The colours are beautiful but this Nike template has already garnered enough criticism from Tottenham, Liverpool and Atletico Madrid fans for us to assume that Aussies over-enamoured with this one either.
There's nothing special about the Socceroos' change strip this time around – especially when compared to the stunning home effort.
48. USA home
The United States have had some stunning home shirts over the years – but this one feels a little too stripped back. Those NFL-style swooshes on the sleeves aren't doing the shirt any favours, either.
47. Senegal away
A little too much going on with Senegal's away shirt this time around. Luckily, the home shirt is an absolute beauty.
46. Uruguay away
Uruguay's away shirt is at least given a stunning colour scheme of white and sky blue with a gold Puma logo. The collars and cuffs look smart with a white stripe running through, too.
45. Switzerland home
A traditional red and white shirt with a simple pattern from the top down, Switzerland's home shirt for 2022 resembles just about any jersey they've had in the past 20 years. It's nice enough but you probably won't buy it if you're not Swiss.

44. Canada home
It's a real shame that Canada haven't got a new shirt for the World Cup, instead having the 'fingerprint' pattern template that Nike brought in around 2019. The Canadian home top is plain and a little forgettable but will hopefully become a classic at their first tournament back in the big time.
43. South Korea home
One of the esteemed FFT team loved this one, giving it a 9.5 out of 10. The others all brought its average down, however, marking down those tiger stripe arms and thick black collar. Perhaps its big fan among the team will be proven right if Son Heung-min scoops the Golden Boot…
42. Poland away
We could probably tell you that this was the Poland shirt at any given tournament between 2004 and today… and you'd believe us. In fact, we're not sure that Poland even have a new away shirt.
Classy, stripped back and with nice cuffs and collar, this is another one that falls in the "fine but forgettable" pile. We don't mind it.
41. Costa Rica away
Maybe white shirts are just boring but we rated Costa Rica's away effort a little more than the home, even though New Balance have produced virtually the same design for both. The blue cuffs certainly stand out better against a red base.
40. Serbia home
Serbia are at the World Cup somewhat surprisingly after dumping European champions Italy out of qualification – and after some of the stinkers that the Azzurri have had at recent tournaments, we're not too gutted from a kit standpoint.
This Serbian jersey is understated yet bold enough to use gold as a secondary colour. Nice all-over pattern, too.
39. Morocco home
This one is almost an exact carbon copy of the Puma shirt that Morocco wore in 1998. Same stripe across the middle, same colours, same badge… even the same version of the Puma logo.
We've got a lot of time for that – the one downside, though? No glorious collar like the old one. Still a decent tribute, mind.
38. Poland home
Nike are no stranger to experimenting with sleeve patterns and Poland's home shirt for this tournament is incredibly subtle with a feathery grey print. Anything more and it would be too loud: it's fit for Lewandowski but like the team itself, it's unlikely to stick in your memory beyond three matches.
37. Netherlands away
This one feels as Dutch as Steve McLaren admiring a Van Gogh painting – perhaps due to the colour palette – and though there's not a lot going on with it, it's quietly classy. We all voted this one as a solid effort.
36. Ecuador third
One of few teams to bring a third choice of clothes to the World Cup, the eyes of the world will be on Ecuador as they take on Qatar in the tournament's first fixture. This is our least favourite of the three options but still a nice enough effort from Marathon.
We're hoping that the nation get to wear all three kits in the competition.
35. Ecuador home
What's not to like? The navy and red complements the yellow wonderfully on this one, while the trim gives the shirt a nice focus without being too busy. Ecuador might not have the most famous yellow kit at the tournament – they might not have the most famous yellow kit in South America, even – but this is a smart top nonetheless.
34. Qatar away
Hosts Qatar will be donning a sandy-coloured kit, should they be forced to wear their change colours (which seems silly given the whole competition is at home for them).
It's subtly patterned and the deep crimson is lovely. But it's not as nice as…
33. Qatar home
There are plenty of red shirts in international but few this gorgeous shade. Big tick for the Qatari flag adorning the cuffs – that's a cool detail – and the central badge and Swoosh look good, too. Qatar will be well-dressed for their first World Cup.
32. Australia home
This one will look beautiful glistening in the Middle Eastern sun. Australia have a nice print for their home shirt, while the green is toned down slightly this time around. It doesn't set the world alight – rather like the Socceroos themselves, unfortunately – but it's a neat look.
31. Saudi Arabia away
It's not quite as beautiful as the leafy green away shirt of a couple of years back but Saudi Arabia have graced us with another loud top that will brighten up an otherwise forgetful mid-afternoon group game rout. Two of the FFT team marked this one as a 9/10.
30. Argentina away
The bunsen burner kit. Some love the purple, flame-tinged Argentina away top, while others despise it – so naturally, it's about halfway up our list of the best kits in Qatar. Some of us gave this one 8s and 9s while others gave it 4s and 5s. You can't please them all.
29. Saudi Arabia home
The leafy elements of the last away shirt have crept onto Saudi Arabia's home top this time around. A solid shirt with a lovely badge, too.
28. Mexico away
Aztec patterns go way back when it comes to Mexico shirts at the World Cup (and in fairness, further back when it comes to Mexico full stop).
But we've never seen anything quite like this, pairing a light base with terracotta-coloured squiggles for a unique look. Inspired work from Adidas on this.
27. Uruguay home
When Puma play it simple, they produce icons. Uruguay's home effort for 2022 is as regal as you'd expect from the two-time world champs, pairing the celestial blue with gold and white. Timeless and effective.
26. Portugal away
There's so much to like about this one. Off-white with a block-band across the middle of the chest, the Portugal away eschews the recent green shades as an away colour for something a little more traditional. The placement of the number on the right of the chest looks excellent, too.
