Ranked! Every kit in the Premier League this season from worst to best

20. Tottenham Hotspur home

Into the top third now and a Spurs shirt that incorporates navy and Nike's "Volt" yellow. It's hard to do something fun with a plain white tee and we've given the American brand the necessary credit for doing so.

19. Bournemouth home

The zigzag stripe on this are almost optically-illusionary but once again, credit to a kit manufacturer for throwing a new spin on an old trope and coming out with something different. Bournemouth seem to be doing well in this one, too.

18. Tottenham Hotspur third

FFT's highest-ranked Tottenham shirt is the jazziest one that they've got this season. That's a lesson for you, Nike…

17. Bournemouth away

Bournemouth's palm tree top swept the board with 9s and 10s from the judges like a recently retired girl band member on Strictly. And it would have got higher if not for one aforementioned Argyle fan rating it a 1 – it's not for everyone…

16. Fulham third

Aleksandar Mitrovic of Fulham celebrates his goal during the Premier League match between Tottenham Hotspur and Fulham FC at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on September 03, 2022 in London, England.

Fulham wore this one in the Championship last season and it's back this time around. Simple sponsor, stripped back colour palette – in Academy Awards fashion, it's got its Best Shirt nomination through being unanimously liked without being anyone's fave.

15. Manchester United home

This one? Divisive? Pssh. We all liked it enough to get it this high in the chart. Maybe it's the effect of Erik ten Hag getting good performances out of the players wearing it.

14. West Ham United away

Is this the perfect football shirt formula? Perhaps. Stunning base shade, a little pattern around the cuffs with bright colours and nothing else to ruin it. It's minimalism done well.

13. Crystal Palace third

The lowest-ranked of all Crystal Palace's tops this season… which we are all big fans of. That crayon pattern across them all looks amazing – and who doesn't like a sash?

12. Southampton away

Southampton's Great Wave shirt feels like a Hummel classic. Our team scored it highly, loving the golden detailing that accompanies the multi-blue design.

11. Nottingham Forest away

That's right – the lowest-ranked Nottingham Forest shirt this season is the 11th best in the league. Maybe we just all hate sponsorship but the patterns on the sleeves of this one are truly beautiful.

10. Brighton & Hove Albion home

Illusory correlation? Brighton have started this season like a house on fire but the shirt is just as stunning. Block stripes and golden trim is a surefire recipe for success.

9. Fulham

Aleksandar Mitrovic

Funnily enough, the Fulham fan among us ranked this one lowest. The Thames waves on the collar and cuffs, the black blocks down the sides and the big W88 sponsor make this one a special effort.

8. Nottingham Forest third

Just stunning. Macron have combined a navy base with flecks of light blue and peach for something completely different to Forest's other two kits – and no sponsor, remember. It's one of the most eye-catching of the campaign.

7. Arsenal home

They're usually well-dressed and this season is no exception. All of us at FFT ranked Arsenal's 90s-tinged home top well – and it's shaping up to be a good season for the Gunners while donning it.

6. Crystal Palace away

The away iteration of the Palace crayon collection. It's such a fresh twist on stripes and we're big fans of all three…

5. Crystal Palace home

…but there's no beating the home. Is this the nicest Palace shirt ever? Perhaps.

4. Leeds United home

The navy and pale yellow works wonderfully together, the round collar looks great and the colours are used in the sponsor and the logo. It's a work of art and the perfect mix of Leeds' last two home efforts.

3. Brentford third

Ivan Toney

It might polarise a lot of fans but it united us. Brentford's home and away shirts are classic and classy – the third top is bright, brash and glitch-art inspired with neon pink and yellow flecks. And yet Ivan Toney looks nothing other than an absolute don in it. Great work, Umbro.

2. Arsenal away

The first Arsenal away kit to ever outsell the home shirt is an absolute beauty. The black and gold is gorgeous enough but the base 'AFC' pattern and minimal canon badge make this one a top that Gooners will be stashing away to sell in 20 years on Ebay.

1. Nottingham Forest home

A surprise? Perhaps. All of us rated the Nottingham Forest shirt extremely highly, despite the Tricky Trees' uneasy return to life in the top tier. You can see why, though: intricate detailing on the sleeves, a bright red shade and, well, no sponsor… this one is going down in history, regardless of whether Forest go down with it.
