When is the Europa Conference League final 2023?
The Europa Conference League final 2023 takes place in Prague
The Europa Conference League final 2023 is one of the newest dates in the footballing calendar – and one of three major showpieces that UEFA have lined up for the end of the season.
As well as winning that unique-looking trophy, there's the obvious incentive that the team who wins the Europa Conference League will be invited into next season's Europa League as a top seed.
Domestically in England, the League Cup final is the opener in February, the FA Cup final is yet to come in May, while the other European finals of the Champions League and Europa League are both scheduled for when the domestic season ends.
Everything you need to know about the Europa Conference League final 2023
When is the Europa Conference League final 2023?
The Europa Conference League final 2023 takes place on June 7, 2023.
The match will likely take place at 8pm in the evening, UK time, just as it usually does. Unlike the Champions League final, however, this game is not shifted to the weekend and takes place midweek.
What's perhaps odder still is that the Conference League spectacular takes place after the Europa League showpiece. It is just the second-ever final of the competition.
Where will the Europa Conference League final 2023 be played?
The Europa Conference League final 2023 will be played at Fortuna Arena, Prague, Czech Republic.
The Fortuna Arena was announced as the venue for only the second-ever Europa Conference League final in May 2022, chosen by the UEFA Executive Committee.
The stadium beat the likes of Windsor Park in Belfast – host of the 2021 Super Cup – and Agia Sophia Stadium in Nea Filadelfeia, Greece for the rights to hold the event. Predictably, the host of the 2024 edition of the final will be made in May 2023.
