Agent: No Arsenal approach for Vucinic
Arsenal have not made an approach to sign Roma striker Mirko Vucinic, according to the player's agent.
The 25-year-old Montenegrin front-man has netted 22 league goals in 85 appearances for the Stadio Olimpico outfit since arriving from Lecce in 2006, and bagged a brace in a 3-1 win against the Blues in the Champions League last season.
And the 6ft 1in striker, who has previously been linked with Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, and Chelsea, is now being tipped to join the Gunners, as manager Arsene Wenger searchs for a replacement for Emmanuel Adebayor.
However, suggestions that the former Lecce front-man could be heading to North London have now been ruled out by the player's agent, Alessandro Lucci.
"There has been no contact with Arsenal, it's just paper talk," he told Romanews.eu.
"Vucinic has lots of suitors in England, but there is nothing official at the moment. Manchester United, Tottenham and Arsenal have all been mentioned, but there is nothing concrete.
"We have not received any offers from Arsenal. Wenger holds Vucinic in high esteem, but nothing concrete has come up."
