Al Ahli sack coach after six games
DUBAI - United Arab Emirates champions Al Ahli have sacked Romanian coach Ioan Andone six games into the season, and a month before the FIFA Club World Cup in Abu Dhabi, local media reported.

The Dubai-based club, which has struggled in the domestic league this year, had appointed former U-20 national team manager Mahdi Ali as caretaker coach, the Khaleej Times said.
Al Ahli, who represent host nation UAE, will play Oceania champions Auckland City in their opening match at the December 9-19 FIFA tournament.
