Watch an Arsenal v Aston Villa live stream as Matchweek 9 of the Premier League gets underway
Arsenal v Aston Villa live stream, Sky Sports, Friday 22 October, 8pm
Looking for an Arsenal v Aston Villa live stream? We've got you covered with our handy guide.
Arsenal and Aston Villa kick off the Premier League weekend when they meet at the Emirates on Friday night.
It's the second home game of the week for the Gunners, who only salvaged a point against Crystal Palace last time out thanks to Alexandre Lacazette's 95th-minute equaliser.
There was also stoppage-time drama in Villa's last match, as Dean Smith's side lost a West Midlands derby at home to Wolves - having still been 2-0 up in the 80th minute.
Mikel Arteta will know that his team can't continue to rely on scoring with virtually the last kick off the game - and they will need to produce a markedly better performance than their lacklustre display five days ago, when they were second-best.
The visitors must tighten up after conceding five goals in their last two outings - four of which have come from 71 minutes onwards - but they have won their last three meetings with Arsenal home and away, keeping a clean sheet on each occasion.
Granit Xhaka is the only confirmed absentee for the Gunners, although Bukayo Saka will be assessed after being forced off with a knock on Monday night.
Matty Cash is available for Villa after having to come off with a dead leg against Wolves, while Leon Bailey and Bertrand Traore are fit again and Keinan Davis could be involved - but Trezeguet remains sidelined after suffering a serious knee injury late last season.
Kick-off is at 8pm BST on Friday 22 October, and UK viewers can watch live on Sky Sports Premier League and Sky Sports Main Event. See below for international broadcast options.

VPN guide
Use a VPN to watch Premier league football from outside your country
If you’re out of the country for a round of Premier League fixtures, then annoyingly your domestic on-demand services won’t work – the broadcaster knows where you are because of your IP address (boo!). You'll be blocked from watching it, which is not ideal if you’ve paid up for a subscription and still want to catch the action without resorting to illegal feeds you’ve found on Reddit.
But assistance is on hand. To get around that, all you have to do is get a Virtual Private Network (VPN), assuming it complies with your broadcaster’s T&Cs. A VPN creates a private connection between your device and t'internet, meaning the service can’t work out where you are and won't automatically block the service you've paid for. All the info going between is entirely encrypted – and that's a result.
There are plenty of good-value options out there, including:
ExpressVPN including a 30-day, money-back guarantee
FourFourTwo’s brainy office mates TechRadar love its super speedy connections, trustworthy security and the fact it works with Android, Apple, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, PS4 and loads more. You also get a money-back guarantee, 24/7 support and it's currently available for a knockdown price. Go get it!
NordVPN with quality mobile and desktop apps
A cheaper option and almost ExpressVPN's equal when it comes to quality, too. A single subscription covers six connections, so you can use it on mobile, laptop, streaming devices and more, all at the same time.
Surfshark offers a great VPN at a fraction of the price
It's clear to see why Surfshark is top of TechRadar's best cheap VPN table – it combines an excellent product with bargain pricing, starting at £2/$2.50 a month!
