Australia name WRONG line-up for Tunisia clash at World Cup 2022
Australia's social media team had a shocker in the lead up to the World Cup 2022 Group D clash
Australia's social media team had an absolute stinker on Saturday morning, as they named the wrong line-up to face Tunisia in the World Cup 2022.
Graham Arnold's Socceroos were gearing up to face their North Africans rivals in a crucial Group D showdown, with three points a priority after an opening-game defeat against France.
The Australia coach's selection was made all the more difficult by the absence of key defender Nathan Atkinson, who had played in the clash with France. Unfortunately, the player picked up a knock during a taxing game against one of the best strike forces at the tournament. Kylian Mbappe scored once and Olivier Giroud notched a brace in a 4-1 victory over Australia, who had been 1-0 up at one stage.

However, somebody clearly hadn't informed the nation's social media team about Atkinson's absence for the Tunisia game, with the 23 year old listed in the starting line-up for today's fixture.
After supporters piled on to remind the Socceroos' social gurus of their faux pas, the line-up was hastily deleted and re-uploaded with Fran Karacic correctly named in place of Atkinson.
Their social media team had already had one shocker in Qatar. During the France game, they had falsely shared a score card showing that it was 2-1 to Australia at half-time. The score was actually the other way round. The latest error hardly restored faith, therefore.
Australia went on to lose the France game comfortably, despite the positive start, and knew a solid performance would be required against Tunisia in their next tie. A huge gaffe from their social media team didn't exactly get the day off to a good start.
