Bendtner "leaked" Arsenal team to Muamba
Arsenal’s Nicklas Bendtner must be thanking his stars he scored the winner against Bolton on Saturday, after it emerged that he leaked his squad’s line-up three hours before kick-off.
An unnamed source told The Sun that Bendtner had a chat with Bolton’s Fabrice Muamba – a friend from Bendtner’s days in the Arsenal youth ranks.
Muamba immediately passed the news on to Trotters manager Gary Megson, whose well-drilled team defended stoutly until Bendtner scored the only goal of the game in the last 10 minutes.
“One of Bolton’s staff told Arsene after the game they knew their team well before the team sheets were handed in,” the source said.
“When Arsene asked how that was possible, the Bolton coach replied that Bendtner told them. Goodness knows the trouble Nicklas would have been in if he hadn’t scored the winning goal!”
