Cardiff are aiming to record back-to-back wins for the first time this season when they host Bristol City in the Championship on Friday night.
The Bluebirds have had an inconsistent start to the campaign and their 3-0 win over Barnsley in midweek ended a four-match winless run.
Bristol City haven’t fared much better lately but they also secured a precious win during the week, beating Huddersfield 2-1, to end a miserable run of form in which they collected two points from five matches.
Their away form this season has been good, though, with the Robins taking 10 points from a possible 15 on the road so far.
Lee Tomlin is injured for the hosts, while Greg Cunningham and Jordi Osei-Tutu are doubtful.
Bristol City boss Dean Holden is without Nathan Baker, Steven Sessegnon and Alfie Mawson through injury.
Holden could be tempted to hand a chance from the start to Antoine Semenyo and Famara Diedhiou after they made an impact off the bench in Tuesday’s victory at the John Smith’s Stadium.
