Chelsea report: Blues could face fierce battle to keep hold of England international
Chelsea have learned that a European giant is monitoring one of their homegrown stars
Chelsea are on red alert after reports emerged suggesting Juventus are preparing to make a move for Mason Mount.
The academy graduate has been a key player under three different managers at Stamford Bridge - Frank Lampard, Thomas Tuchel and Graham Potter - since he broke into the first team.
Mount played an integral role in the Champions League triumph of 2020/21, while he has twice been voted as the club's Player of the Year.
Mount is valued at £64.5m by Transfermarket and has two and a half years left to run on his contract at Chelsea.
However, he has not put pen to paper on a new deal since he became part of the senior squad in 2019, having recently rejected an offer from the west London outfit.
According to Italian publication Calcio Mercato, Juventus are hoping to take advantage of the stand-off between Mount and Chelsea by bringing the midfielder to the Allianz Stadium.
The Bianconeri are unlikely to make a move for Mount in January, but they are keeping close tabs on his situation ahead of a possible swoop for his services next summer.

Juventus will need to raise money to fund a move for the England man, with Leandro Paredes, Adrien Rabiot and Weston McKennie all identified as expendable.
Meanwhile Mount will be getting ready to rejoin the Chelsea squad after England's 2-1 defeat by France in the World Cup on Saturday.
The Blues return to Premier League action against Bournemouth on December 27.
