Coutts and Cranie released by promoted Blades

Paul Coutts and Martin Cranie are among 12 players released or transfer-listed by Sheffield United as they prepare for the Premier League.
The promoted Blades announced the departures of popular midfielder Coutts and defender Cranie, as well as Conor Washington, Daniel Lafferty and Caolan Lavery, when their contracts expire this summer.
Ched Evans, Leon Clarke, Jake Wright, Samir Carruthers, Nathan Thomas, Ben Heneghan and Ricky Holmes have all been placed on the transfer list.
Boss Chris Wilder told the club website: “We have had a fantastic season and I’ve thanked the players for their contribution but attentions have quickly turned to what is set to be another exciting campaign.”
Loanees Dean Henderson, Kieran Dowell, Scott Hogan, Gary Madine and Marvin Johnson will return to their parent clubs.
