Eduardo called up for Croatia friendly
ZAGREB - Croatia coach Slaven Bilic has named Arsenal striker Eduardo da Silva in his 22-man squad for next week's friendly against Romania in Bucharest.
Eduardo missed Croatia's run to the Euro 2008 quarter-finals with a severely broken leg and the 25-year-old is set to make his first start for Croatia for 12 months.
Bilic also called up uncapped defender Hrvoje Cale and midfielder Ivan Juric.
Croatia are second in World Cup qualifying Group Six, five points behind leaders England.

Goalkeepers: Stipe Pletikosa (Spartak Moscow), Danijel Subasic (Hajduk Split).
Defenders: Vedran Corluka (Tottenham), Josip Simunic (Hertha Berlin), Robert Kovac (Borussia Dortmund), Hrvoje Cale (Trabzonspor), Hrvoje Vejic (Hajduk Split), Ivica Krizanac (Zenit St. Petersburg), Danijel Pranjic (Heerenveen).
Midfield: Nikola Pokrivac (Monaco), Luka Modric (Tottenham), Niko Kranjcar (Portsmouth), Ivan Juric (Genoa), Ognjen Vukojevic (Dynamo Kiev), Ivo Ilicevic (Gruether Fuerth), Darijo Srna (Shakhtar Donetsk), Ivan Rakitic (Schalke).
