Eriksen: Tottenham are title contenders
Winning the Premier League title is by no means beyond Tottenham, according to Denmark international Christian Eriksen.
Christian Eriksen is adamant Tottenham have what it takes to challenge for the Premier League title.
Mauricio Pochettino's men sit fifth in the table, one point adrift of rivals Arsenal in the final Champions League spot and 10 back from leaders Chelsea.
Despite suffering a 2-1 defeat to Antonio Conte's side in November, Eriksen feels they proved they are on a par with the big teams and can put together a realistic bid to finish top of the pile.
"Yes, Tottenham can challenge for the title 100 per cent, for sure," Eriksen told Sky Sports.
"If you watch the first 44-and-a-half minutes of the game at Chelsea, I think we did very, very well. We showed we can compete with them. It's not like you can say, 'oh they are much better'.
"Yes, they are doing really well and have not lost for 11 games and are on a really good run. But for us it is just about keeping up with everyone else and being as close as possible to the top.
"Of course I really want us to do better than last season, when we did really well. Hopefully we will finish even higher and we want to be in a position to do that so that is the main target."

Spurs had to settle for third place in the table last season, with Arsenal leapfrogging them into second spot in the closing stages of the season as Leicester City won the title.
