Fulham v Newcastle United live stream, Sky Sports, Sunday 23 May, 4pm BST

Fulham will be looking to end a disappointing season on a positive note when they face Newcastle on the final day.

The Cottagers won promotion to the Premier League through the play-offs last term, but they are heading straight back to the Championship after another single-season stay at the top table.

Fulham started the season poorly, perhaps in part due to a lack of preparation time following the play-offs, but looked to have got themselves into a favourable position going into the run-in. Indeed, a 1-0 victory over Liverpool in early March moved Fulham level on points with 17th-placed Brighton, and Scott Parker’s side had momentum on their side.

It has been a tale of disappointment since then, notwithstanding an impressive 1-1 draw with Manchester United last time out. Scott Parker’s have not won another game, and have lost at home to Leeds, Wolves and Burnley. A return of two points from the last 27 on offer has made the form of their erstwhile relegation rivals an irrelevance, with the Cottagers failing to seize the opportunity they were handed. That is why their demotion will hurt.

Indeed, this final-day showdown with Newcastle was previously earmarked as a potential relegation decider, but an away win at Craven Cottage would see Steve Bruce’s side finish 17 points clear of their opponents. The Magpies have picked up significantly in recent weeks, amassing 13 points from a possible 21 to pull themselves clear of trouble.

Newcastle will have to make do without Callum Wilson, Jamaal Lascelles, Ryan Fraser, Joelinton, Isaac Hayden and Elliott Anderson. Fabian Schar is available again following a ban, but Joe Willock, Allan Saint-Maximin, Martin Dubravka and Joe Willock will need to be assessed.

Fulham will be unable to call upon the services of Tom Cairney, Antonee Robinson, Harrison Reed, Aleksandar Mitrovic and Terence Kongolo.

Kick-off is at 4pm BST and the game is being shown on Sky Sports Mix. See below for watching details where you are.

Use a VPN to watch a Fulham v Newcastle United live stream from outside your country

If you’re on holiday or just simply out of the country, your domestic on-demand services won’t work – the broadcaster knows exactly where you are from your IP address. Your access to the game will be automatically blocked, which is annoying if you’ve paid a subscription fee and don't want to use an illegal, buffering stream that makes you miss another Jose Mourinho tantrum. And that's where we recommend ExpressVPN (more on which below).

All you need to do is get a Virtual Private Network (VPN) to get beyond such aggravations (assuming it complies with your broadcaster’s T&Cs). A VPN creates a private connection between your device and the internet, meaning suppliers can’t work out where you are and what you’re doing. The info going to and from is entirely encrypted.

There are plenty of options out there, including:

ExpressVPN

ExpressVPN including a 30-day, money-back guarantee

FourFourTwo’s brainy office mates TechRadar love its super speedy connections, trustworthy security and the fact it works with Android, Apple, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, PS4 and loads more. You also get a money-back guarantee, 24/7 support and it's currently available for a knockdown price. Go get it!

NordVPN NordLocker

NordVPN with quality mobile and desktop apps

A cheaper option and almost ExpressVPN's equal when it comes to quality, too. A single subscription covers six connections, so you can use it on mobile, laptop, streaming devices and more, all at the same time.

Surfshark Surfshark VPN

Surfshark offers a great VPN at a fraction of the price

It's clear to see why Surfshark is top of TechRadar's best cheap VPN table – it combines an excellent product with bargain pricing, starting at £2/$2.50 a month!
