Ibrahimovic: Mourinho deserves the credit for my form
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has highlighted the role of Jose Mourinho in his sublime performances for Manchester United this campaign.
Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic says a special training programme devised by Jose Mourinho is behind his superb run of form.
Ibrahimovic has already netted 18 goals in 28 appearances in all competitions since his move from Paris Saint-Germain to Old Trafford.
Despite reaching veteran status, Ibrahimovic has played the full 90 minutes in all but one of United's league games this season - a 1-1 draw against Arsenal which he missed through suspension.
"I feel good, I feel in shape," Ibrahimovic told the official United website.
"The boss has made a good programme for me since the start. He has been adapting my physical point of view and the way I can play every game. He has to get the credit for that.
"The mixture between training, recovery and the game, I do it differently, and he set it up for me. So that is why I can hold out for so long.
"And, when you have a body like me, it is not a normal body. It is like when you see an animal. It goes in and is fresh always so I see myself as an animal."
