Olympique Marseille mwill have to make do without Bakary Kone when they take on Lorient on Saturday after the Ivory coast striker suffered a knee injury during training earlier this week.
Kone, who has scored six goals in Ligue 1 this season, should return to action next week, the Provence club said on their website.
Jeremy Toulalan said Olympique Lyon's elimination from the League Cup by Ligue 2 side Metz had not damaged the seven-times French champions' confidence ahead of Sunday's clash with Girondins Bordeaux.
"We are disappointed but the confidence has not been undermined because the League Cup and the league are two different competitions," the France midfielder told his club's website.
Girondins Bordeaux Laurent Blanc faces a tricky choice to pick his goalkeeper for Lyon's game.
First-choice Ulrich Rame has just resumed jogging after picking a groin injury two weeks ago while second-choice Mathieu Valverde, who suffered a cranial trauma in a clash with AJ Auxerre's Denis Oliech last Saturday, has also returned to training.
If both are ruled out again, Blanc would field third-choice keeper Kevin Olimpa.

St Etienne coach Alain Perrin, who took over from Laurent Roussey earlier this week, is looking to inject confidence into his squad before travelling to Lille on Saturday.
"You get confidence by playing matches. We will need a bit of time. Confidence comes with good results and good results come with confidence," Perrin told St Etienne's website.
St Etienne, who lost their last five Ligue 1 matches, lie 18th in the standings.
Lille defenders Franck Beria and Gregory Tafforeau, suffering with foot and abdominal injuries respectively, are doubtful for Saturday's game against St Etienne, the northern club said on their website.
Lille coach Rudi Garcia could also have to cope with the absence of forward Tulio de Melo, who has a knee injury.
Serbian forward Mateja Kezman is set to miss Paris St Germain's match at Le Havre on Saturday after picking up an ankle injury in his team's 2-0 win over Nancy in the League cup earlier this week, the club said.
