Liverpool owners Fenway Sports Group are set to land Jude Bellingham ahead of Real Madrid.

FSG have confirmed that they are looking for new investors, having been in control of the Reds since 2010. In that time, the club have won a Champions League and Premier League title – but the American owners may not have finished their work on Merseyside just yet.

Liverpool have edged ahead of Real Madrid in the race for Jude Bellingham and could well tie up the deal before FSG sell the club.

Reports corroborated by Marca and ESPN's James Olley say that Liverpool are "all in" for Borussia Dortmund star Bellingham, with Real Madrid finding it hard to compete. Los Blancos apparently see the deal as "complicated".

Manchester United, Manchester City, and Chelsea are all interested in Bellingham, too, with another Marca report saying that estimations of Bellingham costing £130 million are way off – and that the England international could be worth around £87m. This comes as Jurgen Klopp has admitted that the Reds could have done with signing another player in the summer.

"I am not a big believer in looking back, saying 'if we would have, that would have changed everything'," Klopp told Sky Sports.

"I think it's clear that another player in specific positions would have helped us in moments, definitely. But our problems are not because we miss a player. You cannot prepare for everything. While it is wild and irrational in moments, I think we have to ride it out. We will get through this."

Liverpool have long held an interest in Bellingham, who plays for Klopp's former club Dortmund. The teen star has denied that he is thinking about his future, however, despite rumours persisting that he will exit the Bundesliga in 2023.

Bellingham is valued at around €90m on Transfermarkt
