Liverpool are reportedly lining up a move for 17-year-old Borussia Dortmund striker Youssoufa Moukoko, raising the possibility of a double swoop next summer.

The Reds have also been linked with a move for Moukoko's Dortmund teammate, England midfielder Jude Bellingham, as they look to upgrade their midfield.

According to Football Insider, Moukoko is firmly on Liverpool's radar. A number of other Premier League clubs are said to be keen on the Germany U21 international, as well as Barcelona, Real Madrid and PSG.

Moukoko made his Dortmund debut in November 2020, just a day after turning 16. In doing so, he became the youngest player in Bundesliga history – before also becoming the league's youngest-ever goalscorer the following month.

He continued breaking records that season: his Champions League debut in a group match against Zenit Saint Petersburg made him the competition's youngest player of all time.

Born in Cameroon, Moukoko moved to Germany at the age of nine to be with his father in Hamburg – where he was picked up by local club St. Pauli, before joining Dortmund two years later.

One of the most exciting young talents in Europe, Moukoko has been compared to Lionel Messi and is currently valued at £13.5m by Transfermarkt.

So far this season, Moukoko has been on the scoresheet three times – and his last goal was a big one, sparking BVB's brilliant comeback at home to arch-rivals Bayern Munich in Der Klassiker.

Lately, he's nailed down a regular starting spot for Edin Terzic's side, starting four of the last five games in all competitions.
