Now they face a Fulham side who are edging ever closer to a remarkable escape.
The Cottagers lost 1-0 against Tottenham in midweek to end a four-match unbeaten run, and Scott Parker’s side went into the weekend’s fixtures just three points from safety.
They held Liverpool to a 1-1 draw in their last league meeting back in December, when Bobby De Cordova-Reid’s opener was cancelled out by a Mohamed Salah spot kick.
