Liverpool v Midtjylland live stream, BT Sport, Tuesday 27 October, 8.00pm BST

Liverpool are looking to begin their bid for Champions League glory with back-to-back wins when Danish champions FC Midtjylland visit Anfield on Tuesday.

Jurgen Klopp’s side earned an opening day 1-0 victory away at Ajax last week, before earning a 2-1 Premier League win against Sheffield United on the weekend.

The visitors will be hoping for a response after suffering a heavy 4-0 defeat at home to Atalanta on the opening day of their European campaign.

Klopp has some selection problems to contend with, as midfielders Thiago Alcantara and Naby Keita are unlikely to feature, as well as centre-back Joel Matip.

Matip and Thiago picked up injuries in the recent 2-2 draw with Everton in the Merseyside derby, while Keita has been absent following a positive Covid-19 test.

Virgil van Dijk faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines after injuring his ACL against the Toffees, and Fabinho is likely to continue to operate in defence in the Dutchman’s absence.

However, the return of goalkeeper Alisson Becker for the league win against the Blades was a boost for the Reds.

The Brazilian was expected to be out for four to six weeks with a collarbone injury, but managed to make his return to action after missing just three matches.

The Danes are enjoying their first-ever Champions League campaign, the rewards of a dramatic rise since their formation in 1999.

Pione Sisto is set to return to the starting line-up after scoring from the bench during a league win over Brondby over the weekend.

They will be major underdogs at Anfield, but Liverpool have history against them as they bid to win their opening two group games of a Champions League campaign for the first time since 2008/09.

Kick-off is at 8.00pm GMT and the game is being shown on BT Sport 3 and BT Sport Ultimate in the UK. See below for watching details where you are.

Use a VPN to watch Liverpool v Midtjylland live stream from outside your country

We know, we know, this has crept up on you a bit. So what if you’ve organised a quick winter break and you’re out of the country for the first Champions League week of the season?

We can help. If you’re out of the country for this round of Champions League fixtures, then annoyingly your domestic on-demand services won’t work – the broadcaster knows where you are because of your IP address, and you’ll be blocked from watching.

But assistance is on hand. To get around that, all you have to do is get a Virtual Private Network (VPN), assuming it complies with your broadcaster’s T&Cs. A VPN creates a private connection between your device and t'internet, meaning the service can’t work out where you are and won't automatically block the service you've paid for. All the info going between is entirely encrypted – and that's a result.

There are plenty of good-value options out there, including:

1. ExpressVPN (inc. 30-day, money-back guarantee)

The recommended VPN of choice. FourFourTwo’s brainy pals TechRadar love ExpressVPN's lightning-quick connections, security you can trust, and the fact it works with Android, Apple, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, PS4 plus plenty more. It also comes with that money-back guarantee, has 24/7 support, is currently available for a 49% discount and with three months FREE. Grand.

2. Nord VPN (inc. 30-day, money-back guarantee)

A cheaper option; its cheapest package current averages at a titchy £2.29 per month.

3. IPVanish (inc. seven-day money-back guarantee)

Slightly more expensive but supports up to 10 devices, and you can pay up your hard-earned every three months if required.
