Former Arsenal right-back Lauren has heaped praised on the Gunners following their 1-0 win at Chelsea and insists 'London is still red'.

Arsenal put on an impressive display at Stamford Bridge and came out on top thanks to Gabriel Magalhaes' second-half goal, but Mikel Arteta's men could easily have won by a bigger margin in west London.

"I've just watched 14 warriors put in an awesome performance and dominate the match," Lauren wrote on Twitter.

And he added: "London is still red you know…"

Gabriel was also quick to claim the bragging rights following his winner on Sunday as he tweeted: "Nothing personal... London is red."

Arsenal's win takes them two points clear of Manchester City at the top of the Premier League, with just one round of fixtures remaining ahead of the World Cup.

The Gunners will be away to Wolves in that match and a victory will ensure they sit top of the table ahead of the enforced break for Qatar 2022.
