Macheda homecoming ruled out

The former Lazio youth team product is now set to be rewarded for his heroics with a five-year contract with Sir Alex Ferguson's side when he turns 18.

And the Italian media has recently reported that the teenage superstar could return to Serie A next season on loan in order for him to gain regular first-team football, with Sampdoria and Parma mooted as potential destinations.

However, the player's agent, Giuseppe Bia, has dismissed the possibility of Macheda heading home.

"I do not think there is scope for a loan move in the summer to Sampdoria or Parma," he told Calcio Mercato.

"Manchester is a large club and has plans for him, I do not foresee another deal similar to that of when Rossi came to Italy."
