Manchester United upturn under Erik ten Hag continues with seventh win in 10 games
Manchester United edged out West Ham at Old Trafford on Sunday to continue their upturn in fortunes under Erik ten Hag
Manchester United's upturn in fortunes under Erik ten Hag continued on Sunday with a hard-fought 1-0 win over West Ham at Old Trafford.
Ten Hag's tenure got off to a disastrous start in August with back-to-back defeats against Brighton and Brentford – the second of those a humiliating 4-0 loss in west London.
But since then, United have now won seven out of their last 10 Premier League games, with two draws and a single defeat in the other three.
Sunday's win came courtesy of a Marcus Rashford header – his 100th goal for United in all competitions – following a superb Christian Eriksen cross late in the first half.

United were the better team for most of the encounter against David Moyes' side and had chances to extend their lead, but needed a super save from David De Gea from a long-range Michail Antonio shot to preserve their lead and another deep into added time to keep out a piledriver from Declan Rice.
Ten Hag's side are now fifth with 23 points from their 12 fixtures, just three behind third-placed Tottenham with a game in hand.
