Messi thanks Atletico fans for ovation
Barcelona forward Lionel Messi thanked the Atletico Madrid fans after many gave him a standing ovation when he was substituted at the Calderon on Tuesday, having scored a hat-trick in Barca's 3-1 King's Cup last-16, first leg win.

"It's always nice when you go to another stadium and they applaud you, especially at a place like the Calderon. As a player it is very special and hard to explain. I'm very grateful," the Argentina international said.
