Michael Olunga leads Kenya to victory

Kenya came from behind to defeat Tanzania 3-2 in an Africa Cup of Nations thriller and boost their chances of progression.
Michael Olunga’s goal 10 minutes from the end finally had Kenya in front, having twice trailed to strikes from Mbwana Samatta and Simon Msuva.
Olunga cancelled out the first of those goals and Johanna Omolo the second, before the former’s final decisive strike.
Tanzania were off to a flying start with just six minutes gone as Msuva, having already spurned a fine headed chance, tapped in a rebound.
Olunga led a Kenyan fightback and headed against the bar, while Francis Kahata also went close from distance.
Erick Ouma’s strike was saved by the Tanzanian stopper, before Olunga did get Kenya level with a stunning acrobatic effort after 39 minutes.
Tanzania replied in the best way, Samatta showing fine skill to place a shot in the bottom corner and restore his side’s lead a minute later.

Just after the hour Omolo rose highest to head in from a corner and draw Kenya level for a second time and then Olunga won it, taking in the ball on the edge of the box and doing the rest.
