Negredo reveals Anfield ambition
Almeria hot-shot Alvaro Negredo has expressed his desire to join the Spanish revolution at Liverpool. The 23-year-old front-man joined the Andalucians in 2007 from Real Madrid Castilla - the Bernabeu giant's reserve team who play in the Spanish second tier - and has since bagged 30 league goals in 63 outings attracting the attention of both Aston Villa and Fulham according to reports.
However, the forward - known as La fiera de Vallecas (The wild animal of Vallecas) - has revealed he would like to link up with fellow countrymen Fernando Torres, Xabi Alonso, Albert Riera, Pepe Reina, Alvaro Arbeloa and manager Rafael Benitez on Merseyside.
Any move to England would depend on the Spanish U21 international's former club Real, who have the first option to buy him back from Almeria.
“Who would not be happy to play for such a team as Liverpool alongside Fernando Torres, considering their form in the league?” Negredo told El Almeria.
“I would like to test myself there, but it depends on Real Madrid and I have no idea of what is going to happen.
"But at the moment I am focused on Almeria, who gave me the chance to make my league debut.”
