Norwich manager Dean Smith faces his former club Aston Villa just over a month after they sacked him when the two sides face off in the Premier League on Tuesday.
Smith was dismissed by Villa at the start of November, but quickly found another job at Carrow Road, where he is aiming to guide the Canaries to survival.
Norwich suffered a 1-0 defeat at home to Manchester United on Saturday and currently sit bottom of the standings, but they are just three points from safety.
Smith had to deal with a string of selection problems due to injury, ineligibility and illness and then lost captain Grant Hanley to injury during the game.
But they performed well and restricted the Red Devils to few opportunities, and the boss will be eager to prove a point against his former employers.
Smith’s successor Steven Gerrard has settled into life at Villa Park well, but couldn’t prevent a narrow 1-0 defeat to his former club Liverpool at the weekend.
Villa are now 13th and have pulled eight points clear of the drop zone, but victory in East Anglia could send them as high as eighth.
