Paul Pogba hailed Manchester United's "beautiful" last-gasp win over Middlesbrough after his header sealed a thrilling 2-1 victory.
A combination of questionable refereeing from Lee Mason, dogged Boro defending and Grant Leadbitter's goal looked to be the recipe for a shock win for Aitor Karanka over his former Real Madrid master Jose Mourinho.
But Anthony Martial equalised five minutes from time before Pogba headed home Juan Mata's cross shortly after to start the party on New Year's Eve at Old Trafford.
Such a late show was straight from the playbook of Alex Ferguson, celebrating his 75th birthday in the stands, and Pogba revelled in a classic comeback.
"It's beautiful - it's why we love football," Pogba said. "The win was very important.
"We had a lot of chances and we could have won the game easier, but we are very happy with the three points."
