Ronaldo breaks record for wins in Champions League
Cristiano Ronaldo earned yet another piece of Champions League history on Wednesday, despite seeing his goalscoring run come to an end.
Cristiano Ronaldo became the player with the most wins in Champions League history as Real Madrid claimed a 2-1 victory at Bayern Munich.
The holders came from behind to win the first leg of the semi-final tie at the Allianz Arena, with Marcelo and Marco Asensio overturning Joshua Kimmich's opening goal.
It means Ronaldo has now won 96 matches in the competition, one more than his former Madrid team-mate Iker Casillas.
The victory, which was Madrid's 150th in the Champions League, came despite the Portugal star seeing his own remarkable scoring run in Europe come to an end.
