Arsene Wenger was in a jovial mood when questioned about his future at Arsenal, but could not give any update as to whether he will stay at Emirates Stadium beyond the 2016-17 campaign.
The Frenchman's contract with Arsenal is due to expire at the end of the season and there is no clarity as of yet whether he will sign a renewal.
Sections of the Gunners faithful have called for Wenger's departure and even staged protests this season, but Sunday's FA Cup semi-final win over Manchester City put Wenger in relaxed mood at Tuesday's press conference.
"Next question," the Arsenal boss laughed before a reporter could even finish the inevitable query about his future at the club.
But, as the journalist quickly moved on to ask for any updates without further explaining the question, Wenger's lighthearted approach continued.
"No news. We are talking about the French election right?" added the 67-year-old.
Finally the question was made explicit, as Wenger was asked: "Any updates on your future? Any idea when you will tell us? Will what happens in the remainder of this this season decide it?"
But his reply was emphatic: "No, no, no – that's a triple no!"
The uncertainty about his future at the club has not kept Wenger from looking at potential transfer targets, though.
"Yes, of course I am looking at transfer targets," he added.
"I work until the last day of the season for the present and the future.
"Transfer targets are the future of the club and therefore they are very important. What happens with me is a bit secondary, what is important is the future of the club."
